Yes, he was socially distanced, but at least circle around the tables so people can get better pics. The beast circles around the room and you can barely see him. If you want a character interaction, don’t waste your time.

The mashed potatoes were absolutely amazing! I could have eaten a whole plate full of them!!! Dessert was tasty. Just nothing really to brag about with the chicken and beans. I ordered the pan seared chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes.
It was really good! They gave an extremely small amount, which was disappointing. For my appetizer, I had the lobster bisque soup. It was like they had gotten it out of the freezer. The bread was so hard that I think I could throw it at a wall and it would have went through.
To start, they brought our bread service and drinks. We were there for around 4 hours waiting and eating. We could tell that they had way overbooked people. We got inside to wait on our time and it was so incredibly packed. We booked this place because we wanted to do a character meal. There are much better options in the park than dropping $350+ for a family of 4. The quality control on food needs fine-tuning and the overall experience was lackluster. It’s unfortunate that Be Our Guest is being removed from our must-do list for future trips. I know a lot of people spend months planning and saving for dream Disney trips. The only time our server was polite (not even friendly, just polite) was when the check came, and it was tip time. Be ready to have your camera ready for when he arrives otherwise you’ll miss out. He spent less than 30 seconds in the room. Beast walked in on one side of the dining room, waved, and walked back out. Beast does make an appearance during dining. With COVID, obviously character interactions are different. Dessert was a trio sampler of a lemon raspberry deconstructed macaron, a white chocolate teacup of gray stuff (it was delicious) and a dark chocolate ball. Most veggies were unrecognizable, and it was not good. For my entree, I ordered the veggie plate. I liked the dressing but it was just a regular ol’ salad. It was ridiculous and set the stage for the rest of the meal. No one needs a dental emergency while on vacation. I couldn’t even jam my butter knife into it to put butter on. As soon as I picked up the roll, I dissolved into laughter. Our server brought out the bread and butter to start. FYI also: Adults can’t split a meal either so unless you are famished (and have a solid 2 hours to waste at MK), you might want to skip making this reservation. If you can’t be kind to a polite child asking for a substitution, you’re probably in the wrong business.

Our server was really snotty when my daughter wanted to order the Mac n cheese from the kids menu, and honestly, Disney is for the kids. Kids over 9 are automatically charged the adult rate, even if they order from the kids menu. First, be aware that the meal is now prix fix, which means it’s a 3-course meal. This time was a horrible from start to finish. We are avid Disney fans and Be Our Guest has historically been a decent lunch-time meal.
